Joshua C. Okonkwo, better known by his stage name Joe Legacy is a Swiss-based Nigerian singer, songwriter, choir and vocal coach.

His musical journey started in a kid’s choir in his hometown in Nigeria, West Africa. In his early twenties, Joe’s life took a new turn when he moved to Switzerland. Despite the cultural and linguistic challenges, he emerged with a versatility that spans across multiple genres and styles.
His passion for storytelling through music was further ignited after he obtained his Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Pedagogy in Pop music and Performance & Production from Bern University of Arts in 2018. Over the years he has gathered much experience which has earned him appearances on notable stages in and outside of Switzerland, including a nomination for the Critérium Africain Music Awards Belgium 2020 in the category Afro-pop.

Today, Joe Legacy captivates audiences with his high-quality Afrobeat fusion, Reggae, Soul, and Gospel music, characterized by an infectious energy that keeps his audience singing, dancing, and wanting more!

When not performing on stage, Joe works as a truck driver, pulling 40 tons around the highways, mountains, and valleys of Switzerland. Songs like Singing Truck Driver, Can’t Stop Me, Jeje Laye, and many more were inspired on the Swiss highways, composed and written in his truck cabin during breaks .

In addition to his music career, he has also modeled for several companies and enjoys driving, family time, fitness, and traveling in his free time.
