Joshua C. Okonkwo, known as Joe Legacy, is a Swiss-based Nigerian singer, songwriter, choir leader, and vocal coach. His musical journey began in a children's choir in his hometown in Nigeria, West Africa.

In his early twenties, Joe moved to Switzerland — navigating cultural and linguistic challenges to emerge as a versatile artist across multiple genres. He deepened his craft by earning a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Pedagogy in Pop Music and Performance & Production from the Bern University of Arts in 2018.

Over the years he has performed on notable stages inside and outside Switzerland, earning a nomination for the Critérium Africain Music Awards Belgium 2020 in the Afro-pop category. He captivates audiences with high-energy Afrobeat fusion, Reggae, Soul, and Gospel — music with an infectious energy that keeps people singing, dancing, and wanting more.

Beyond the stage, Joe works as a truck driver — pulling 40 tons across the highways, mountains, and valleys of Switzerland. Songs like Singing Truck Driver, Can't Stop Me, and Jeje Laye were composed in his truck cabin during breaks, making his story as compelling as his music.

Alongside his own artistry, Joe is a dedicated choir director, vocal coach, and music educator. With extensive experience leading adult, youth, and children's choirs, he cultivates confident, expressive ensembles that connect deeply with audiences through gospel and contemporary pop choral music. Featured collaborations include The Moor Train Fellows (Täuffelen/Seeland), Community Youth Choir Seeland, and Church Mountain Gospel Choir (Kirchberg, BE).
